Paloma’s Nest is a wonderful company that makes handcrafted wedding keepsakes and heirlooms. I am absolutely in love with their ring bearer bowls. They are so unique and can be a wonderful keepsake to display in your home after the wedding. I also love their bouquet text tiles. To see more of their work you can check them out here.

The amazing Caroline Tran photographed this DIY wedding. Jen and Kevin got married at J Lounge and Restaurant in downtown LA. Jen lived in LA & Kevin in NY so they decided to plan a travel themed wedding. Kevin is a pilot and they spent most of their relationship traveling to see each other so they wanted to bring that part of their relationship into the wedding. Jen lined her shoes with maps and made tiny paper airplanes for the centerpieces.

Each table was a destination they had been to and the escort cards were like plane tickets. One of my favorite things about this wedding is that they had a smore bar! Their guest list was also very cool. Kevin’s mom painted the trees and the guests left their thumbprints along with their signature. To see more of this fabulous wedding head over to Caroline’s blog and thanks again to Caroline for sharing these wonderful photos.

Congratulations Jen & Kevin!

These little versatile tags are perfect for you all that want to customize something but are intimidated by huge projects. Below are some ideas that I’ve found in a very brief search, but I’m sure the options are limitless. These manilla tags are super cheap at any office supply store. Then just stop by the craft stop on your way home and pick up buttons or ribbons or stamps to customize. Add names of your out of town guests for great little gift basket tags; add the names and table numbers for informal escort cards; add your names and wedding date for a fun little save the date; or just tie a cute one around a vintage vase for a little whimsey on your table top! It’s really the perfect DIY since it’s cheap and easy, and has such a great impact!
Are you using these in your weddings? How have you customized them?
The Pink Ladies were recently asked if we had any inspiration for an elegant country wedding. Well here is what we came up with. With simple touches and a little imagination you can make your country wedding an elegant affair. We love the idea of using natural resources like the lovely archway made out of tree branches below or the sliced log they used as table numbers. Just remember to have fun and make it represent your personalities as a couple.
